Three hours by default
Temporary addresses and messages support the current task and enter the cleanup process when they expire.
Privacy Policy · Updated September 15, 2026
This policy explains what data TempRoute processes for temporary inboxes, long-term forwarding, and support communications, why we process it, and how you can control it.
Temporary addresses and messages support the current task and enter the cleanup process when they expire.
Forwarding aliases and delivery records are shown only to users with a valid session.
We do not sell, rent, or exchange message content for advertising or profiling purposes.
This policy applies to the disposable inboxes, forwarding dashboard, and support channels provided by temproute.com. How third-party websites use the temporary addresses you submit to them is governed by their own policies and is outside TempRoute’s control.
Using a disposable email address does not make you completely anonymous online. Senders, network providers, and websites you visit may still record device, network, or account information where legally permitted.
When you create a temporary email address, the system processes the random address, email token, expiration time, and incoming message content to display your inbox. To prevent abuse and troubleshoot reliability issues, we may also process limited request times, browser information, source IP addresses, and error records.
When you use long-term forwarding, we process your login email, created aliases, active or paused status, delivery results, and email archives kept for up to 30 days. When you contact support, the email address, issue description, and attachments you provide are used to respond and handle your request.
| Data category | Purpose | Typical retention | Main controls |
|---|---|---|---|
| Temporary address and token | Create, read, and extend the inbox | 3 hours by default | Change the address or wait for expiration |
| Temporary message content | Display messages in the reading view | Cleared when the inbox expires | Delete individual messages |
| Forwarding delivery records | Verify delivery and troubleshoot failures | Up to 30 days | View or delete in the dashboard |
| Security logs | Rate limiting, abuse prevention, and diagnostics | Usually no more than 30 days | Handled in response to legal requests |
Temporary inboxes are valid for three hours by default, and the expiration time refreshes when you actively extend them. After expiration or deletion, data is removed from online services; backup copies may be overwritten on a rolling basis within a restricted period.
Delivery archives for long-term forwarding are retained for up to 30 days, while account settings are kept for as long as the service relationship exists. Relevant records may be retained longer when required by law, to handle security incidents, or to resolve disputes, but only as necessary.
We use access controls, encryption in transit, session tokens, and operational rate limits to reduce the risk of unauthorized access. No internet service can promise absolute security, so do not use a disposable email address for banking, medical, identity documents, or other highly sensitive information.
We share data with service providers only as necessary for hosting, email delivery, security monitoring, and customer support, and require them to process it for the agreed purposes. We may also disclose limited information when legally required by a valid request from authorities or when necessary to protect users and service security.
You can delete individual temporary messages, change a temporary address, pause or delete forwarding aliases, and disable two-step verification. For data linked to an identifiable person, you may request access, correction, or deletion, although we may first need to verify the requester’s identity.
Some logs are necessary to keep the service secure and cannot be deleted individually immediately after every request. We assess requests under applicable law, technical feasibility, and the rights of other users, and explain the outcome.
For privacy questions or data requests, email support@temproute.com and include the product involved, the relevant time period, and the action you want us to take. Do not send verification codes, passwords, or unnecessary identity documents by email.
We may update this policy when our products, legal obligations, or security practices change. Material changes will be identified on this page with a new update date; please review the latest version before continuing to use the service.
Our support team can explain the applicable retention period and handling process.
